Kramer is really something else. This morning I fed him and he did his laborious army crawl over to his bowl and gobbled down his breakfast. I left the door open figuring that since he could barely crawl to his bowl, he sure wouldn't leave the bathroom. Wrong!! All I saw out of the corner of my eye was a bullet train of fur heading down the hall to the living room. When I went to check, I watched Kramer LEAP up onto the couch. When it was time to put him back in his bathroom, he was unable to move again and flopped over. I am beginning to think he might be playing possum a bit...

What a great song!

Kramer

All I Need To Know About Life I Learned From My Cat
Life is hard, then you nap.
One day ignore people, the next day annoy them.
When in doubt cop an attitude.
Curiosity never killed anything except maybe a few hours.
Climb your way to the top, that's why the drapes are there.
Never sleep alone when you can sleep on someone's face.
If you're not receiving enough attention,
try knocking over several expensive lamps.
Make your mark in the world or at least spray each corner.
When you go out into the world, remember:
being placed on a pedestal is a right, not a privilege.

Kramer has had a rough few days. We found him laying on a rug in the garage on Sunday. He wasn't moving and when we tried to rouse him, found that he couldn't move his back legs. We brought him into the house and set up a sickroom for him in the nice warm bathroom. He's been lounging around on a pile of fleece blankets near the radiator. He eats like a horse and drinks like a fish so those are encouraging signs. He has been a robust and healthy and rather distinguished old cat and not being able to get around seems to embarrass our proud Kramer.

Tonight was his first night of physical therapy. He needs to get up and stretch those legs now and then.

Here is the happy cat before we made him try to walk! Turn up the volume and listen to him purr!!

Emily and I tried to make him walk a few steps. This didn't work out so well. Although, when Puggles walked into the room, Kramer ran away hissing and spitting. I know he CAN walk, but he apparently doesn't want to walk on command. He's a cat and we all know they NEVER do ANYTHING on command!

Tomorrow is a new day!
